Crash Reports can be requested by clicking the link below. You will need the Report Number AND Last Name of involved party OR Last Name of involved party AND date of incident. Fee for Accident Reports: $8.00 for the first page plus $2.00 for each additional page.
You will be prompted for payment at the time of the request. Records requests are currently accepted with the completed form, “Request for Public Information” and payment in the form of exact cash, check or money order.
Request for Extraordinary Law Enforcement Services
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office processes requests for special event security. After the request has been submitted to the CCSO, you may be contacted for further information.
The CCSO encourages you to provide as much advance notice as possible when police and/or security are needed. To provide the most efficient and professional service for special event requests, the CCSO asks that the following general guidelines be taken into consideration when requests are made:
- For special event security requests where uniformed or plain clothes police officers will be used, sufficient notice of the event should be given in order to ensure that proper planning for appropriate staffing levels has been conducted for the scheduled event.
Request a Local Background Check
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office criminal records search will provide you with a document reflecting the history of a criminal record. The check reveals arrests, convictions, any pending cases, and sometimes, traffic offenses. Requests are granted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the type of crime and age of the subject. Types of inquiries include:
- Adoptions
- Employment
- Housing
- Immigration purposes
- Military enlistment
- Personal use
- Sealing your records
Request for Check My Property Services
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office accepts requests for periodic property checks on private residences or business during specific periods of time when the properties may be vacant.
Deputies assigned to the area of the address will do visual exterior checks throughout their shifts in between calls for service. Property checks are designed to put your mind at ease while away. After the form has been submitted to CCSO, you may be contacted for further information.
Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA)
LEOSA qualification is for CCSO retired or current employed Sheriff’s Office personnel only.
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 allows qualified active and retired law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm nationwide.
The law requires two hours of classroom training and successful completion of two qualification courses. Before any applicant is issued a LEOSA photo ID from the department, he or she must successfully complete the training and qualifying courses and complete and submit an application. A background check is conducted on all applicants. Applicants must re-apply annually.
All applicants, including those already certified under LEOSA, must fill out the CCSO Application for Certification to Carry a Concealed Firearm annually. Please download, complete and print application. All paperwork must be returned at least 7 days prior to the range date or you will not be scheduled to attend.
